Remote control not syncing

I don’t own an Air either, sorry I can’t advise…

Hopefully that video will do the trick??

Have you tried another lightning cable between controller and iphone? The DJI supplied ones are a bit iffy.

David.

Thanks for the replies guys, I tried using a different device and it worked fine! So the 1+5 mobile doesn’t like the app obviously! So in going to get a Amazon hd tablet Purley for using when flying the Mavic…can anyone recommend a good all in one holder?

Before you buy a new device , try this. Found on another forum.

  1. Turn on developer options by tapping on your build # 5 times (in the about phone)
  2. Go to developer options and turn on USB Debugging
  3. Once plugged in, you have to change the USB Configuration. “Select USB Configuration” and change on MIDI, then it should connect.

Thanks for all of that, did try the DJI wire less method no end of times along with the manual system neither worked, will purcahase a new RC to mobile cable just in case, never the less the re up load of the go4 app appears to have worked for the time being needless to say I have lost all of my flight records! Thank you all again.

On Android, the flight data will still be there after uninstalling Go4.
On iOS I’m not sure.
Which are you on?

If you sync’d them up to DJI then they’ll be pulled back down again when you next sync.

Am on Android - Go4 have tried the sync, but not producing my records, have flown two batteries this evening all is working well, have also noticed a Stars and Stripes flag in the top panell in the app when the me icon is selected! Thanks for the support.

There’s folder on the Android device you need to save somewhere safe until everything’s sorted.

It’s the folder …

DJI/DJI.GO.V4/FLIGHTRECORD

… AND the subfolders and all files!

Once you have everything working, you should be able to copy that data back and sync it OK with Go4.

At least the .txt files in that folder can be uploaded to AirData to see the flights.

(AirData is better than the log in the Go4 app, anyway. :+1: )

In Go4, click on the circular image next to your name, then click on the Pen edit button, select UK and you should be back in the right Country

Thanks have now arrived back in the UK from uncle Sam’s, will check out the flight record info in the morning, many thanks.

Thanks,

Have had a look at that but no go, have tried to sync a number of times but can only get the flights that I did after re installing to Go 4 App, as if starting from scratch.

Do DJI keep the logs an a data base, is this detail also held on the drone?

Cheers

No not coming back on sync, all I have are the flights that I did after re installing the Go4 App, looks like I am starting from scratch!

Are the details held by DJI on a data base that I can request, is the data also held on the Drone, or do I just have to live with it?

Many thanks.

There are flight logs on the drone, but those aren’t any use for updating the Go4 log, I’m pretty certain, and definitely not useable for AirData.

Thanks will take a look later and come back to you.

Evening,

I have used the DJI assist in an attempt to down load my lost flight files from my air craft to my desk top, the records on the air craft only go back as far as the point were I re loaded the Go4 app.

It appears that all previous records are lost, shame rarely as I would have liked to have kept a complete record,I only hope that should I have to send my air craft back to DJI in regard to warranty or the fly more that this problem will not go against me.

I have also been in contact with DJI through out this problem in order that its logged with them and may be they are able to resolve this type of issue in time to come.

Many thanks for your help and in put.

Kind regards

Norman

Something not right there. The oldest DAT files on the drone are only overwritten by lack of space to write new ones.

DJI have asked that I send my Air and RC to them to be inspected, I can’t see the point it flys and operates perfectly well, used 3 batteries this evening no probs and is recording flight data. Can you please advise if the I Pad mini 2 is comparable with the Air?
Many thanks
Norm.

Morning,
Just for your info I have linked my MA to an I Pad Mini 4 all works well and have regained all of my flight records.
